Busy study time for the next two months

I had to find a good place to do my assignments. I had a look at the Uni and at home.
The University offers a lot of opportunities to study. Rooms inside, study launches inside or outside, studying on the grass with kangaroos and a lot more.

At home I could study in my room but till now the room is too cold due no sunshine the whole time. But the garden is big enough to find a place in the shade or in the sun (till now studying in the sun is possible for 1 hour, it will change in summer).

Some impressions of my places below:

I will be very busy the next few weeks. I have to write 3 essays and reports in several groups as well as 2 individual assignments. My last marks are 2 written exams in the first week of November. Let's see that I can do something fun in this time. But Uni is priority number 1.

Trip to the Hinterland with the USCi Brand Ambassador Team

Last Tuesday the USCi Brand Ambassadors went on a short trip to the Hinterland. On the way to Maleny we stopped on a few lookouts to see the Glass House Mountains and its nature.
McCarthy's Lookout
After visiting the small village Maleny we went to another small village - Montville and enjoyed the sunset at Gerrard's Lookout on our way back to the University.

The Glass House Mountains are leftovers of volcanic activity about 25-27 million years ago.
After the volcanic mountains cooled vertical columns emerged.
They are landmark on the Sunshine Coast and a popular location for bushwalkers and hikers to explore.

The family members are:
Mt. Coochin- Kid
Mt. Ngungun- Kid
Mt. Tibrogargan- Father
Mt. Coonowrin- oldest kid
Mt. Beerwah - Mother
Mt. Tunbubuda- Kid

One day Tibrogargan saw that the sea was rising. He told his oldest kid to help his mother. He and the other kids went to the safety in the west. But Coonowrin went by himself to play. This made Tibrogargan angry and he ...

Some animals in Australia

First I have to make clear that some experiences depend on where you spend your time.

At the moment  lot of things happen on my familys' property.
On the weekend we had three situations with snakes. On Saturday I saw a small snake next to my door but I was too slow to call someone- so this snake is still in our garden somewhere...

On Sunday the son of my host family saw a snake looking at him through the window outside the house. He caught it and we brought the snake 15 kilometers away into a forest to live a good life.

In my first weeks in Australia I saw a lot of kangaroos. It depends on the time you are out and the place you are if you will see kangaroos. Mostly kangaroos are out on big grass areas during the sunrise and the sunset. They don't like the hot weather.

Ride to Lighthouse at Point Cartwright

This Morning I woke up at 6:10 am without my alarm! I'm getting australian, that would be normal for them. So I went for a run up the hill to Buderim.
It's a really really steep street- i could not run all the way, so I walked the rest.

Today we had 32 Degrees!!!

Its the 4th of September- the fifth day of spring- it feels like summer in Germany.
But I have to be careful with the heat and sun because of the wind almost every day. Due the short distace to the ocean we always have a light breath that stretch the true power of the sun.

It was a really nice morning and I had no plans today- excluding studying so I made my way to the beach.

Point Cartwright
Last time I rode to the Beach I went to Mooloolaba Spit, which is right next to the Lighthouse. Only the sea splits the two destinations. So the ride today it was about 15 kilometers, to Mooloolaba it was a bit less. The way to get there is almost the same, only the last part is different.

Map of the Coloundra Region
I went to the Lighthouse in Kawana. Point Cartwright is one of the tallest lighthouses in Queensland. and stands 32 meters high. It was constructed in 1979.

My way of travelling and exercising

I had to study for my tutorial class I had this evening. So I combined duty and fun.
